Frances M. Collender

Collender, Frances M. - Thirty nine year old Corporal Frances M. Collender was trying to block traffic from an earlier accident. That's when she became a victim. Police say the bridge was probably icy when the Camero lost control and started to spin, then struck Corporal Collender slamming her against her car. Corporal Collender had been a member of the Delaware State Police Department for four years. She leaves behind two daughters, Samantha 17 and Taylor 8.

The viewing took place on Thursday February 8TH, 2001 FROM 1800 - 2200 hours at the OUR LADY OF FATIMA CHURCH, 801 DuPont Highway, Wilmington Manor, New Castle, DE.

Services were held on Friday February 9TH, 2001 AT 1100 hours at OUR LADY OF FATIMA CHURCH New Castle, DE.

Burial was immediately following the service at the GRACELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, located on the DuPont Highway, Minquadale, New Castle, DE.
